Class 158 'Express Sprinter' | Different types of train

I remember when they was new, at Norwich Crown Point, a lot of work was done, cutting edges of 16/17 & 12 & 13 roads, in the sheds.
Like the 156 before them, seat cover day was Sunday, one 158 per week.
They replaced the Class 156, for use on Norwich Thorpe to Liverpool Lime Street or Birmingham New Street routes, I think sometimes they started from Great Yarmouth Vaxhall or Lowestoft Central?

The seats was not very , well like cloth on a weak springs, with a think layer between the seat cover.
Ash trays in the middle and round, when could smoke in a little area of the train.
This was correct latter, with better seats.
Also got DBSO from ScotRail, as they replaced the Loco 47's, Mark 3 coaches sets, with Mark 2 DBSO's, just the DBSO's came to Crown Point, a little later than plan, because the 158's was a little late?

Now 30 years ago, looking back the 158's done well, as long as the weather not too hot, as the air-con seem to fail too many times, then the few small windows would be opened by a member of staff with carriage key.

This year, I have travel a few time, from Norwich Thorpe to Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester, East Midlands Trains, are also using 170 DMU on this route as well, but they not keep at Norwich Thorpe railway station overnight, so far, so early and late service are 158 DMU's.
Anglia Railways 170 DMUs, are now used on this route, the three and two coach.

The toilets on the 158 are not very good, mostly do the job.
Public toilets are not very good, in this country, so the standard is not high standard, so may be the 158 toilets are better than my opinion.
