Description

A fire at Oulton Broad North station means all lines are blocked. As a result, trains running between Ipswich / Norwich and Lowestoft may be cancelled or revised.

This is expected until approximately 10:00.

Customer advice:

After a serious fire at Oulton Broad North caused severe damage to a building at the station, overnight, trains are unable to run through the station. The Fire Brigade, Police and Network Rail engineers are on site, ensuring that the fire has been extinguished, investigating and looking to make all structures on the station safe.

between Norwich and Lowestoft

Service Impact

Services running between Norwich and Lowestoft will be unable to go to Lowestoft, with some services cancelled and others diverting to Great Yarmouth, via Reedham. Services between Ipswich and Lowestoft are being affected as they are timetabled to come from services running between Norwich and Lowestoft. During the morning peak, services on the Ipswich to Lowestoft route will only operate between Ipswich and Saxmundham.

Greater Anglia are currently trying to source vehicles to operate a Rail Replacement Bus service.

Advance purchase tickets holders will be allowed to travel on earlier or later trains if their booked service is cancelled.
