Firefighters have been dealing with a large fire at a railway station.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a roof blaze in a restaurant based in Oulton Broad North Railway Station on the platform in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Crews from Lowestoft North and Lowestoft South fire stations along with Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene.

Police and ambulance services were also on the scene.

By 6am, the fire was under control with crews hot spotting the area.

Greater Anglia said routes between Norwich and Lowestoft and Ipswich and Lowestoft will be affected throughout Thursday morning.

It said: "Services running between Norwich and Lowestoft will be unable to go to Lowestoft, with some services cancelled and others diverting to Great Yarmouth, via Reedham.

"Services between Ipswich and Lowestoft are being affected as they are timetabled to come from services running between Norwich and Lowestoft."
