1950's Liverpool, I know my Mum got a ship from Liverpool to Quebec in 1957, and back in 1959, so she seen the City then, and in the 1960's, she was on the other side of the Mersey, working at Leasowe Castle, that now Hotel.
Do not know where she would have lived then, on site ?
