The Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool. "'The Adelphi deserves to be brought back to its former glory' The Adelphi was once the pride of Liverpool, but is now a source of scorn" "Not for the first time, since reading the news of Britannia's poor ranking, hundreds of people have called for change to restore the iconic building to its previous glory. On Facebook, Marie Buckley said: "Shameful. The Adelphi deserves to be brought back to its former glory by a new investor. "It could be the best in the business with proper owners."" I have stay there three time this year, first time I was in room 301, it was a cheap prices I only wanted a place to stay, to get a train from Liverpool Lime Street to Norwich. I mostly stayed in the front part, when I walked around, the two back stairs, lifts, etc, look quite bad, even for a old car park? Quite a difference to the front stairs way, which look grand. I wonder how much investment would it take to bring it back, would that mean much higher prices, so change the customer who stay there, but is there many four stars hotels around the area, or five stars? So would there be demand for another, may be? Also where will the customer who use the hotel now, go? may be that more easy to solve or ignore. I quite like this hotel, for a lower price, but there need to be better reasons just wanted this hotel to go back to the glorious past, and there are more buildings that are empty with great past, it would be great if every building can be maintain to it best, just who will pay when they are empty? or the owners want to save money. May be bring back British Railways hotels? might fix Adelphi Hotel, hard to go back to the past, as society have changed, since then, in many ways.
