Hauling a 130ft distillation column 500 miles from Greenwich to the Forth Chemical Works at Grangemouth long before the introduction of motorways and by-passes using 2 chain drive Scammell`s and solid tyred bogies. Some dodgy health & safety issues by todays standards - like crawling under moving trailers and hands infront of moving wheels! Very nostalgic road and town/city scenes & commentary. E W Rudd not Pickford's or Wynn's!"

I going to watch this latter, there was a lot of hope for the future in 1980, with the High Speed Train / InterCity 125 coming into service in the late 1970's and Advanced Passenger Train the hope for the longer term future?

But railways are more than long distance passengers, even if this get noticed more.

I am sure the film says more than I can add.
