"Vacation in Spain in 1977
filmed in "Super 8" (analog).
Video and cell phones hadn't yet been invented.
There were still German radio stations on medium wave,
which could be heard in Spain.
Benidorm was still a "small" but thriving fishing village.
However, the charm of that time was lost.
Today, one hotel stands next to the other, and small family businesses like ours couldn't survive.
The "building frenzy" is already evident in this film.
Benidorm was once a PEARL, but has now unfortunately "degenerated" into mass tourism.
Did I, as a tourist, contribute to this,
or is it a development that doesn't correspond to my sense of values?
Am I a "yesterday's person," or is our future losing the traditions and appreciation
for our ancestors?"
