from 31st March 2015

Today, started to take down the scaffolding, no work been done for about a month now, may be undercoat at the back of shed on side of building, may be?

The letter dated 19 March 2015 from Norwich City Council / NPS Ltd with "I am pleased to note that MITIE has now completed the work, and the scaffold has been taken down at your property."
I emailed back, with photos.
The kitchen window need to be replaced, some parts have not been painted at all or just look like a undercoat, and some not done very well and look like they need another coat to cover better.

The nest door neighbour ask why they was taken the scafolding down, as she can not open her windows now, and has a low opinion of the work, they told her, that was Mitie and they was just doing the front of the building, leaving the back up.

Just to moan a little bit more, the painters, or some of them, just seem to drop wipes anywhere once they use them, one is still on the side shed roof, where I can not get to it.
I pick up the rest, also they left two empty cans of paint, used them as little bins.
Not very clean, if they done a great job, then it would not matter much, but sadly they work was not very good, not help by the time of year they did it, January and February, March there was nothing done, and I do not think anyone come round, well not seen anyone, to look at my kitchen window that needs replacing (again told this by painters).

The bad things about this
1. No notice, workmen just come to put scaffolding up.
2. Norwich City Council said they did not know anything about it, must be middle flat private landlord, who did not tell the Council, just beofre Mitie Supervisor came round to say it was the Council?
3. painting the windows, then fixing them, would of been much better to fix the rotting wood first, or at least not be fixing wood on the above flat, just after painting the lower windows frames, bits of wood do not feel or look good on wet paint?
4. Quick to too thinpainbt coats on some areas.
5. Side of bulding in Council area very overground, this was cut down, but delayed the painters, which might be the reason that look just like a gray undercoat, on back of side building shed.
6. Kitchen window, this was going to be replace, apply for planning permission last time, September 2007, but then changed they minds and fixed it, with filler, this time, all the filler fell out.
7. My garden is a mess, but if I spend a lot of time and money on this, would they have looked after it better?

Good points.
1. painted the communal entrance staircases, as this is a converted house, seems that sometimes that is ignored, like September 2007, but this time, it was done, just not very well.
2. The Council did not want till the paint had started to fall off and windows rot away, well not as much?

Council now have less money to spend, I can understand that, can not experted too much, still when they waste so much on a fence along Rouen Road (from Music House Lane to near the Ferry Boat) , which no one know why (may be Forsters now, the contracted to put it up? ).
Just like the painting of the two buildings, Scaffolding up since near the end of January, but no work done in March and some point above I made, seem to be more waste of money.

Outsourcing woes laid bare at Mitie

I could blame Mitie, not very good, low wages, lack of training etc, etc, but the best thing about outsourcing public services (Council or others), it to get the lowest price, sometimes with checks and control from Councils/ public body, this might be good.
But with less and less money, to do this checks?

I better be going to bed, back at work tonight, want to try to sleep now.
